To that end, Stipple has already signed on big client names such as Jive and Atlantic Records. Both Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s blogs, for instance, uses Stipple for photo tagging. Stipple has also made a WordPress plugin available and formed an alliance with Six Apart to offer publishers more seamless installation capabilities. Publishers earn a portion of revenue based on engagement and click rate of the content in photos.
Looks interesting, right? Well, so i went ahead and signed up for the service (which is free by the way). The sign up was a breeze and so was setting it up on DotSutra. They provide a very convenient wordpress plugin that can be installed easily. I was up and running in 5 minutes after signing up.

Well all in all, looks like a great new service. This can be used in a number of ways like tagging people, products or just adding meta description and giving credit to the original photographer/creator of the image. The only thing that wasn’t really clear is how much commissions can publishers earn which left me high and dry. Well the only real way to find out now is to actually try it out. The good thing is that there isn’t any particular additional work required as everybody uses images and illustrations on their sites, so there’s nothing to loose.
So will you be using this service too? Feel free to share your opinions below.
